Beardie bleeding during mating?

hello, about 2 weeks ago my male beardie thats 7 years old was bleeding from his opening/vent, when he was trying to mate with my female dragon. It wasn't normal bleeding but instead like a glob of blood,that went back in his opening. is this normal in mating? I really hope you can help i have been very concerned if this is normal. Hope to hear from you soon."

Sometimes their Hemipenes (reproductive organs) come out of the body and then back in when mating.  It sounds that that's what happened with your male.  Keep an eye on him and make sure he's eating, etc.  If you see a change in behavior, you should take him to see a vet.
