QUESTION: Am i supposed to clean his/her shell with a toothbrush

ANSWER: Scott,          You can use a soft toothbrush. It removes excess algae. Though if you keep your tank clean it shouldn't be necessary. You can also put vita shell on him once or twice a month. Very good for him. Good Luck, Tina

QUESTION: he has a uvb light, and the heater is in the tank. i also fed him boiled egg shell for extra  calcium.

Answer
Scott,          Don't feed him in the tank. Get a large dishpan from walmart or something. Ferd him in a different container it will help you keep your tank cleaner. Make sue he has UVA too. So he can dry out his shell when he climbs out to hang out on the dock....Tina let me know
