Question
hi i hope you can help me i have a 2yr old new zealand white rabbit and lately she has been having trouble with her back legs, she can put weight on them but she can,t walk she just collapes on them and pulls herself around on her front paws.her legs are not broken has she can still kick them and she hasent fallen or anything like that..she is a big rabbit not overweight.but i was wondering if she may be a bit to big to hold her weight.she is also just lying there to do her buissness can you help please thanks martine

Answer
There are so many things that this could be that she really needs to see a vet to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.  It has nothing to do with her weight, there are larger rabbits than New Zealands that get around fine, there's a structural or other issue that is causing this.

In the meantime, here is some information about caring for disabled rabbits at http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabrefs.html#care that may help in the meantime.
