QuestionWHAT CAN I DO? AND WHAT ARE ALL THE ALTERNATIVES? HOW GREAT IS THE CHANCE IT WILL MAKE IT, IF I TAKE IT TO A VET, THE BUNNY IS ONLY TWO WEEKS OLD AND TWO OUT OF FOUR DIDN'T MAKE IT ALREADY. WHAT WENT WRONG? I DON'T KNOW HOW ITS LEGS GOT BROKEN, I SAW IT'S BACK LEGS FLAT ON THE FLOOR IN THE MORNING. THE BUNNY'S EYES ARE ALSO ALMOST CLOSED, I THINK IT IS SICK. HELP I FEEL SO BAD. HELP
AnswerHi Maria,
take your rabbit to an emergency vet as soon as physically possible. It is not humane to let the poor thing suffer. The legs need to be set properly so that they can heal correctly, a good rabbit vet needs to do this.
Please don't breed rabbits. This is one of many reasons I don't suggest casual breeding by the average pet owner. Get your pet rabbits spayed and neutered by a good rabbit vet - and if you don't have one, go here:
www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html
and find a House Rabbit Society recommended vet near you.
