Question
i have two male rabbits 17weeks old that get on well ,recently got a lion head rabbit 8weeks old ,kept in seprate huts. one of the older rabbits got in to baby rabbit hut ,when i put it back in it's own hut the other older male kept trying to hump it ,they have not done this before, could the baby rabbit be a girl. tried looking but cant tell ,is this because of age ,could the baby be pregnant, now when older males are near the baby they get fresh. please help

Answer
Dear M. Warwick,

Mounting is a dominance behavior, as well as mating, so it's still possible that the baby is a male.  Please see:

No matter what sex the bunnies are, they will need to be spayed/neutered in order to prevent fighting and unbonding, which can happen when sexual maturity hits.  Prevent fights at all cost!  Even if no serious injuries result (and they surely can!), even a small fight can cause a permanent rift between the bunnies, preventing permanent friendship.

Hope this helps!
