Bunny Pair

Question
I've owned 2 bunnies in the past-both living to 8 yrs old but also both were owned at separate times.  Now that I'm ready to get a rabbit again I've decided on buying two and need some advice.  I will be buying my bunnies from a breeder (most likely) and they will probably be siblings. Would there be any advice in chosing a pair? I know girl/boy girl/girl are best but what if I don't pick siblings? Most importantly I would like to know whether to get two cages or one big cage. I know bunnies need a cage 4 times their size but don't know what would be best for the buns-one or two cages. Thanks for your help!

Answer
Siblings will get along together best, and if you can get same sex that will be easier for you.  Remember that when they reach sexual maturity they aren't going to care if the other rabbit is related to them or not.

If you get siblings, you can get one cage.  If you decide to get two rabbits from separate litters, you can try in one cage but you may have to go to 2.

Bunnies are very social creatures, so if you can keep them together they would be happiest that way.
