Would you please consider my second question about whether my bunny is going out of her mind sitting in her cage all day sometimes while I am away or at home.  I don't have a safe home where she can run around all day.  Would it be better to let her run around in the one safe room for a few hours?  She tries to eat the carpet when she's been there for a while.

Sorry I missed your second question. I thought I had gotten them all.
I say no she is not losing her mind. My rabbits get attention mainly when I am feeding and watering- I have 35 rabbits- just because I don't have time for each of them to have an hour with me. I make a day for just the rabbits where I get them out and check them over for health problems and to get exercise. An hour each day running around is perfect for her, so I would go with the safe room for this whenever you can let her out. When she starts nibbling on the carpet then it is time to put her back in her cage for a while.
