Question
I have a bunny, still quite young i think, although i don't lnow it's age... some time ago, it had runny stool, it stopped after a few days. It is a very active rabbit, who would rush out the moment you open tha cage. It would also "go mad" when it sees treats. It has a huge appetite and i would usually meed to feed it with a bowl of food 2 times a day. Natuarally, it also "releases"  alot of poo. Now, it is the opposite, it does not stir when it sees treats, does not eat, does not rush out when i open the cage, and shits very little. i think it is having abit of runny stool as the tail is abit soiled. When i take it out of the cage, it walks by dragging it's hind legs although it can still move it's legs... I am relaly worried about it as it has chonged completely overnight. It was perfectly fine last night... It still ran around the house alot... Is it just exhousted or is there something more to it? I hope that you will Be able to help.
Thanks
Calvin

Answer
Dear Calvin,

Please get your bunny to a good rabbit vet right away, without delay.  You can find one here:

www.rabbit.org/vets

Your rabbit may be suffering from ileus:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/ileus.html

and www.bio.miami.edu/hare/ileus.pdf (for your vet)

While you're arranging an *emergency* vet appointment, read this:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/sickbun.html

This is also relevant, as you said your bunny has had bouts of runny stool:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/poop.html

Please let me know how it goes, but get bunny to the vet NOW for supportive care and treatament, if she is to survive.
