Question
Hi I have a one year old mini holland lop.  I would have said he's in good health but recently his breathing has become very fast and his ears are often cold.  He also has, I think come into his hormones because he started mounting everything.  On his out time he doesn't even run around any more he just circles you waiting for an opportunity to mount you.  Would neutering him help this?  Sinces the hormones came into play he also has turned into a messy bunny.  He's not using his litterbox anymore and he drops poops everywhere and he never used to.  Any advice or information you can offer i'd greatly appreciate.  I just want my fun loving bunny back
thanks so much Tracey

Answer
Dear Tracey,

Yep, it sounds as if your bunny has entered his Terrible Teens, and it's time for him to be neutered.  I'd have this done ASAP, as for some reason Holland Lops tend to stay "sexier" than other breeds in many cases.  The sooner he's bereft of his hormones, the sooner you'll have your sweet, calm boy back.

You can find a good vet here:

and read more about neutering here:

Hope that helps!
