need urgent answer

Hi, I have just purchased a giant rabbit a few days ago as a house bunny, and i have noticed that one of his testicles is enlarged. And that it is covered in scabs. I have an appointment with my vet to get him neutered but was wondering if he needs to be seen sooner as i am really worried about his swelled testicle is this life threatening for my bunny need urgent answer thanks

Janet, a swollen testicle can mean rabbit VDU - it is not life threatening in the short term - but when you take him to be neutered I bet the vet says to first give him antibiotic treatment ( penprocilina ) and when the treatment is finished then neuter him.  To neuter him without treatment is life threatening.  I would also advise the place where you got him because if he was used as a semimetal he could have passed the infection on to the doe and spread to the whole herd.
