Question
hi Pam,
i have a 5 year old lop and just recently i have noticed that the very tips of her ears are dried and looks like they are chewed up.
is there something i can do or is this normal behavior??
she does get plently of food so i can't imagine she would be hungry...?

Answer
Hi Crystal

I have a few questions for you.  Is your rabbit an English Lop (the type with 15 inch ears)?  Do its ears drag on the ground?  Does it ever go outside to play in the grass or a pen or basically anywhere outside?  Do you have other animals?  Have you seen her chewing on her ears?  Are the insides of the ears crusty or does she scratch frequently?

The last question is do you have a vet who will see rabbits?

I have a few ideas that may help but I need a bit more information.

Thank you

Pam
