QuestionI have heard that female bunnies have a tendency to develop cervical cancer i believe around the age of 3 so it was best to have them spayed. I wanted to find out if this was true. If so what is the best age to have this done and do all vets offer this service(is it standard like a cat or dog)?
AnswerDear Larissa,
Uterine adenocarcinoma is a very high risk in unspayed, unbred female rabbits. It's definitely wise to spay them as soon as they're about a year old to remove this risk, and reduce the risk of mammary cancer.
Not all vets know how to do a rabbit spay, though many will *tell* you they do. Please find an experienced rabbit vet here:

Hope this helps.
