Question
hello Karen ,
tonight my dutch rabbit billy was running round when suddenly he flopped over and landed funny he then ran behind the sofa and got tangled up in some cablels he went all floppy and was breathing really hard i picked him up and tried keeping him warm then i called a emergency vet and asked wat i should do. He stopped breating so i was rubbing his back and massging his heart he then started breathing again but he started heaving and trying to be sick i kept rubbing his back but then he started shaking and convulsing. He then just stopped breating and that was when he had died. I dont know if it was shock or what but i would like to find out i am devastated he was 5 years old and a good family pet. Was there more i could do i tried everything the vet said ? .

hope i hear from you soon,

your sincerly tanith crane

Answer
Tanith,

I'm so sorry! What a terrible tragedy!?

I honestly don't know what caused it. It sounds like he may have had a heart attack, but if he somehow got electrocuted when he was stuck in the cords, that may have done it too.

You did everything you could do, though! Great job on trying to revive him and taking care of him.

I'm sorry I don't have more info for you--but do keep in touch.

Karen
