UV lamp for D3 for hares

Question
I could not send one more follow up question so I had to open new topic.

I mentioned that I am thinking of buying UV laps (made for reptiles, for example turtles) that would be extra helpful for making vitamin D and for strenghtening their bones. If D3 vitamin is made from UVB light. And if it is safe to use for baby hares? I belive it would be ok, but Your opinion would be appreciated.
This one is strongest for UVB rays (of course iz would me used with caution):

What do you think about this idea?

P.s. the only possibility that formula is changed is that we assume maybe manufacturer did not add something in this years milk; we are using the same manufacturers milk as last years. All hares are from all over the country and although  firstly we had thought this was the problem from one area; soon after that we rejected that possibility.

I deeply appologise for so many questions. Here in Croatia there does not exist some expert for hares. It seems I know more than anyone in our country, but I still want and have to learn more how to help revelets, so I am forced to ask for opinion from abroad.

Answer
Dear Sanja,

If you feel the problem is lack of UV, and that the hares are not getting enough sunlight, then you could try the UVB light.  But as you say, use with caution.  I wouldn't think that more than 15 minutes a day would be necessary, and preferably spaced out during the course of the day.

I don't know if it will help, but I hope you have good luck. Please let me know how they do.

Dana
