URGENT; Baby not peeing?

22 9:50:29

Question
I have a week old baby rabbit, eyes closed, that I've been feeding formula (1part KMR+1part Goats Milk+ 1/2 part water)
I've been feeding him 2 to 2 1/2 ccs of this twice or three times a day
Near 11am he'll normally eat 1/2cc
No diarrhea, he is defecating normally
But I only received him three days ago
In these three days, he's peed once
I've stimulated him for ongoing a minute or two and still nothing (I do after every feeding, but normally he only defecates)
He doesn't seem too interested in eating this morning, either, though I did try to feed him at 6am. I'll try again in a few minutes.

He doesn't seem to be in pain, and he'll lean down and stimulate himself when he's needing to defecate. The last time he peed there was no warning for it, though it seemed to be quite a bit (I had fed him on the schedule listed above the first day and he peed the second day)

Should he be peeing more often?
I'm concerned, though he doesn't seem to be bothered at all.

Answer
Dear Rebecca,

As long as he is not swelling up with pee or unable to pee, it's probably not a major thing.  But do keep an eye on the feel of his skin to check for dehydration.  If it easily tents and doesn't spring back in a nice, elastic way, he might need subQ fluids as a little "jump start".

A week old baby should soon start to be able to pee on his own.  But keep stimulating until you're really sure.

Hope he continues to do well!
