Piglet Itching

Question
I recently bought a potbelly piglet. He is a little over a month old. He was the runt of the litter. All he wants to eat is strawberry yogurt. He won't eat his corn-based feed that the breeder gave me. A vet told me he could be constipated so she suggested Activia yogurt and a teaspoon of Miralax and now all he eats is the yogurt. He also has been itching himself on objects chronically. He does it so much on an area that he rubs it sore and almost bleeds. I have tried using baby oil. Do you have any suggestions for the diet and his skin problems?

Answer
Odd are very high he has mange (sarcoptic)  mites that must be dealt with-2 shots of Ivermectin given 14 days apart. They breed under the skin...
Adding pig feed to the yogurt and mushing it up so he can't separate it will solve the diet problem.
Do it granule by granule, very gradually. Baby rice cereal is also suggested.
He needs fiber, but has been taken from his mother too early.
Good luck,
