QuestionOur 16 Year Old pot belly pig is not eating her pig chow or anything but fresh veggies (mostly carrots)and won't drink unless we put cranberry juice in her water. I gave her a lot of prunes yesterday and today. She peed and pooped a lot but the poops were quite hard. She spends the day in our back yard where there are a lot of acorns that she likes to eat. Could this be part of the problem?
Answer I would take her to a vet if she is not normal soon.
What we worry about is an intestinal blockage.
The acorns could play a role.
We would give her a third of a can of pumpkin to loosen her up.
But any time a pig's appetite changes, it spells possible trouble.
You have taken great care of her in order to be 16!
Good luck,
Pris
