Pig Cut

Question
One of my pigs has 2 gouges, it looks like the skin just got ripped off, she has 2 spots with this i put polysporin on it for now, they smell really bad, what should i do?

Answer
Clean the spots out with hydrogen peroxide or Epsom salts several times a day, at least.
Apply neosporin but keep them from scabbing up or she will get an abscess (wound heals too fast and pus is trapped underneath skin).
MAKE SURE PUSS CAN DRAIN.
You need to find out why these occurred.
If they are dog bites, they are prone to infection, see a vet.
And the dogs will be back to attack the pig.
