teeth grinding, biting

QUESTION: hey, just got a couple questions for you. i have a 8 week old potbelly pig and she has been wonderful. about three of four days ago she started grinding her teeth all day long. And around the same time she started snapping at us. the usually rubbing makes her snap. is there something we are doing wrong or is something wrong with her? any help would be so appreciated. thanks

ANSWER: Hello,
You piglet is cutting teeth and that is why she is grinding her teeth.
She will get several sets of teeth  so don't be alarmed if it happens again.
They will often foam at the mouth at the same time and this is common so don't worry.
She is nipping because her teeth hurt and she is a bit cranky.
She should still be scolded as you don't want her to continue this behavior.
A loud voice and a tap on the nose with your finger will let her know that it is not acceptable.

QUESTION: hey. i am going monday to the vet to get my two month old baby her vaccinations. i was never told i needed to do this. the vet said alot of people dont know it but they need them. he said she needs her first set and three weeks later a second set and then he will set up after that her spay. is this normal? also, how much pain will she be in and will she hurt for long? i am so worried about it. is there anything i can do for her after to make her feel better?

Hello,
Yes, she should have two vaccinations and then a booster every year.
Just don't over do it and make sure the Vet you are taking her to has worked on other Miniature pigs.  
Spaying can be tricking if the correct anesthesia isn't used or she is out for to long of a time.
Please make sure before you take her in.
She will probably have a pain shot and she will be fine in a few days.
Just don't over feed her at first and give her lots of down time.
