Question
Hi there, Thank you for all he great info-I have spent hours reading and reading.  We just got our little baby mini pbp last week-we are adjusting fine.  Her name is Minnie and she is one smart piggy at such an early age.  We used a weight formula (can't remember where I found it) to try to figure out approx how much she weighs.  We have come up with 2.5lbs and she is approx. 5.5" tall at the shoulders and 3 weeks old (born July 4).  We have no idea how big the parents are and how big she might get--she came to us kind of third hand so we don't know much about her history.  Me and my kids who are 12(girl), & 8(boy) are having a ball-she is getting socialized, fed, cuddled, is safe and learning.  We have been feeding her rice pablum mixed with water and some Mazuri mini pbp food mixed in several times a day. She seems to be eating and pooping/peeing fine.  She loves to root around outside in the grass and her favorite pass time is rooting/pushing plastic bowls around (very funny to watch).  She sleeps in a medium sized dog kennel thru the night. She uses a modified cat litter box lined with newspaper and also goes outside.  We also have a smaller kennel when we go in the car.  She loves to cuddle in the crook of your arm and will lay quietly dozing and being petted/scratched.  I'm figuring to slowly mix more mini pbp food after she is 6 weeks old and maybe by 7 weeks she will be off the pablum.  She doesn't drink water but sometimes I make her food on the watery side so she will get some liquids.
My question please-any guestimation how tall and her weight when she is done growing? (about 1-2 years I think?)
Thank you very much in advance

Answer
Hello,
Congratulations on your new piglet.  She is still a bit young to be away from her mother.  Piglets should be at least 56 to six weeks old and weaned well(eating pelleted Youth chow)before they are handed off to their new parents.
That being said it sounds like you are doing a good job with feeding Minnie!
She needs water available at all times.  You can mix her feed using Pedialite to help make sure she is getting plenty of liquids.
I would recommend Starting her on Infinity Plus Products as soon as possible.  They are formulated for very small pigs and will help keep the extra unwanted weight off. Dandie Starter Chow has everything a new piglet needs to get off to a goo start an add the Multi Vits/Mins and you can be assured that your piglet will have all of her nutritional needs meant.
Be careful not to let her start eating grass as it can have growth hormone in it and is extremely high in protein which can cause all kinds of issue with these mall pigs.
You can find the products you need at royaldanie.com
It is impossible to guess what size your piglet will be at maturity (3 years)at this point.
Do you have any idea where she came from originally?

Good luck with Minnie,
Patty
