Dead Babies

Question
i just got a feeder rat from a pet store a few days ago. She just had had babies!!!!! They all died!!! Why did this happen? She had them in the night and when i woke up only one was moving but then it died too. :(  also... do i have to worry about the mom being upset about this at all? I need help!!

Sometimes rats with questionable lineage for some reason will neglect their babies or kill them themselves. Its also possible that she couldn't lactate and the babies starved. Sometimes the mothers are affected, but if they all died in one night, you probably don't have to worry so much. Keep her company and make sure she stays healthy.
