breeding my 2 rats

Hi I have 2 unrelated pet rats. male and female ofcourse. and I know during the last week of pregnancy they build nests and there waist gets bigger at tht time. My female, she started taking the bedding out of their igloo and out of the corners of their house. Is this her nest building? About to give birth?

Sounds like it!  She may do this a week prior to giving birth.
At this time you should telephone your rats vet and let them be aware that is a pending birth. Find how what to do in an emergency (where to take her that is) should any emergency situation occur during birth. Be sure your rat is in the cage she will have the babies in, which should be baby rat safe, bars close together so once the new pups start to get around they cannot get through the bars, but glass tanks are not acceptable due to poor air circulation. ALso her diet should already be increased with higher protein and extra vitamins. What has her diet consisted of the past few weeks?
