my rats have mites

I don't know if my rats have mites or not but there are little brown bugs crawling in there fur. I would like to find out how to get ride of them.

Sounds like mites.  The best way to get rid of them properly and effectively is to take them to the vet and have them treated there. Usually the vet uses revolution or ivermectin.

Also, once the rats are treated, clean their cage really good since mites live in the cage rather than on the rat, only getting on the rat long enough to feed.  Freeze any bedding for at least 24 hours before using in case the mites laid eggs in the bag of litter. THis will destroy any eggs the mites may have laid.
