Question
My poor male rat was playing in his cage and when he  fell of his ledge that is a
couple inches above the padded floor of his cage. Ever since ( about 5 days ago)
he has been leaning to the side with his head and can not walk in a straight line.
I think he may have ear troubles but i do not know. PLEASE HELP!!!

Answer
If it resulted from a fall it is possible that he has a brain or spinal injury which may or may not get better on its own.  You should take him to the vet right away to see if anything can be done.  Head tilts can also result from ear infections but it would be an odd coincidence for him to have gotten one right after a fall.  Most ear infections can be cleared up with antibiotics, so your vet will most likely prescribe a course of antibiotics to rule out ear infection.  Hopefully that is what it is and he will get better after some treatment.  Good luck!
