Questionsorry but I need to know that if she still is breathing do we have a chance to
save her with vet help in the morning?? She does act like she's paralized
however I am not sure. She moves into her rat like shape & has opened her
eyes.
What does this twitching mean?
AnswerThe twitching is from nerves, either mini seizures or simply the brain causing uncontrollable muscle contractions. This indicates something neurological has occurred, such as I said before, an aneurysm or a stroke.
I hate to give you false hope but I have seen rats recover some after a stroke. She may be paralyzed and may have a poor quality of life if she has had a stroke and survives. Depending on what has occured, if she is alive by morning, you still may have to decide if she will have any type of life if the vet is going to try to keep her alive. If she can recover even partially and still will be able to pull her
Muscle twitches are minor and often go unnoticed. Some are common and normal, while others indicate a neurological disorder which I suspect.
Do you have a vet for tomorrow? If not, here is the best place to go for her eae let me know how she is. Please. I will pray her..
