albino rat black eye

Sorry to bother you, but my albino rat seems to be injured and I do not know what to do. He must have scratched his eye or something because it is completely swollen and in the middle it is black and bulging out. My mom thinks he may forever be blind in it. i don't know what could help get the swelling down. Do you? Thanks for your time.

Sounds like an infection in his eye.  He needs a vet right away. Even if he has lost his vision, if its infection, it could travel to the brain so he needs seen by a qualified vet to help him.
