Dear Sandra, I wanted to let you know that my little baby, Mercedes, passed away today (2/1) at 2:33 in the afternoon. I wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me! I wouldn't have gotten this far without your wonderful help! I was nursing her back to health and actually just got her medicine refilled yesterday but I was by her side when she took her last breath. I know she went peacefully. thank you for everything you have done!

Mercedes, she held on for a long time didnt she?

I believe she was the one with a pituitary tumor along with some respiratory issues, right?  

I am glad you were with her when she passed.  It is so painful to lose our rats. I hate everything about it. Just everything. I wish I could be strong about it but I am not.  I usually get teared up when I read about a rat on here that I kept in contact with their owner or if their owner is a frequent writer and when they pass I hurt too.  
My husband would hear me say out loud "Oh NO!!" and see the tears streaming down my face and he said I am to emotionally involved with people and their rats on here but after getting up to 25 questions a day with many return readers, you cant help but feel for them. I am sensitive and I just cant help it. He said he was going to ask me to stop answering questions on here if I didnt learn to distance myself but that wasnt fair of him to say, because I am who I am, I cant just shut off my feelings, you know what I mean?

Anyhow.....

I hope your heart heals fast. You were great taking care of her and all you did to help her.
