Glucosamine/Chondroitin

Hi Sandra,

Every now and again I like to come to AllExperts and read and learn, and when I saw the one about these vitamins that could help our elder sweeties, well I was like AWSOME!  I don't yet have any problems with my older ratties yet, but my oldest male, Jobe, I think is getting up there.  He's about possibly over 1 year and a half.  And my oldest girl, Jilly, she's about 1 year and a few months old.  Like I said before I don't see any problems yet, but as I read..maybe starting them before the problem arises around 1 year and a half got me thinking I would really like to do this :)  Do you know about how much these vitamins cost.  I did just do a quick search online, but I couldn't see the correct mgs that are needed.  And also would you know if I could get them in any store that are close by, like Walmart or a health food store, which also has vitamins and such?  I will definitely check the health food store as I go there anyways to get the food to make my rats dry food.  You probably wouldn't know about the health food store, cause I do think it's a local family owned business, but Walmart... they have like a whole isle of just vitamins or Dollar General.  Or do you know if she purchased hers online?  This is Such Awsome news!  I love it!

I  have no idea where to get it, I would assume walmart or any better pharmacy such as Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid.  I doubt Dollar General but you never know. One of the Family Dollar stores by my house now carries name brand everything as far as foods goes, from Kraft Mac and Cheese to frozen dinners by Stouffers etc...so it depends on the store too. They are chains and some dont do as well as others.  Our dollar store happened to be next to a grocery store that closed down. Once the grocery store closed, Family Dollar saw a huge increase in sales in bread, soda and milk and other staples and I hear they are one of the better Family dollars in this part of the country because they get so many people that buy the necessary grocerys since we dont have a grocery store right near us now.  

As for this helping rats,  I still cant really fully endorse its use because I hear mixed reviews, but I did want to share her positive story and put on my website how she did it as far as mixing it goes etc...
It depends on the rat more than anything.  I am glad it worked for her and am just hoping that others have the same results.
