female rat severe illness (urgent)

Hi! am having 2 rats(male & female). my female rat has delivered 8 babies on 24th feb. Now from last 5 days, she is having bleeding. initially, we thought that she is having periods.. but the bleeding is getting more and severe. from yesterday, its abdomen side has swollen, and now its swelling is increasing and she is looking like football now.. and from today its bleeding continuously, without any pause..today, two babies were taking feed and after sometime, we found that bodies of both of two babies were wholly wet with blood. we don't have any vet here,in the whole state. we are keeping pets for first time, so we don't know if whatever is happening with her is natural or not normal. please tell us, what to do- medicines, precautions etc.

Rats do not bleed when they are in heat. This is NOT natural at all and your little female rat is in serious danger.  There may even be dead babies still in her that she cant deliver. This is an emergency. Your rat is going to die if she doesnt get medical attention. Not just her, but the entire litter of rats are going to die. There is a vet in every state that will treat rats, I have access to a large data base.  Please let me know your location and I will give you names of who to take her to see.

You asked if there are medicines to help, and the answer is, even if there is, it has to come from a vet.

IF she makes it, I advise you to keep males apart from females. They mate as young as 5 weeks old and females go in heat every 5 days. Sadly, people learn from their mistakes and its often the rat that suffers.
