Rat Allergy

Question
We have two male rats, about 1 yr 4 months (browthers). In the last month or so, one has been sneezing a lot, and has what appears to be dandruff! We've been to the vets a few times, and treatments of antibiotics don't do anything. An allergy was suggested. We've changed the bedding, but no luck. We think the food may be a problem as we use an off the shelf commercial variety. I wondered if this could be the cause and what the best types of foods were to try.
