Skinny Hairless

Louie my 2 year old hairless was recently given meds for a respiratory issue but is still breathing heavy and losing weight. He eats fine. They get a rat mix called suebees and fresh veg fruit.  Louie is also getting weight gain ensure to keep his weight up. Any ideas on what could be causing this??

Hairless are very prone to having multiple issues. The respiratory infection may well be the thing to blame for his weight loss -- when they don't feel good, they tend to burn more calories and not replace them so quickly. Keep offering him high calorie, high fat foods and be sure he's staying hydrated. :( Good luck!
