the growth on scabbers
my rat is a female she is about a year and a half and a little while ago i saw a lump on her it grew very fast in the matter of hours... i have been reserching on the net and i figure may be an abseess or a tumor i really am not sure what to do i have been soaking her in a warm bath hoping it will burst i am not totally sure as to what i can do for her.. i was wondering if you could help me since vets who deal with rats are not in abundance where i live thank you for your time i have been busy tring to help my little scabbers :( i apprciate any info you can give me

ps my scabbers shares a cage with another female they have lived togther since birth
AnswerIts hard to see fro the photo, but this doesnt seem to be in a place where mammary tissue is. Is this more toward her side (where it originates) or on her back more? It looks vascular, which means its not an abscess since abscessse are pockets of infection and pus, they do not have a blood supply where tumors do. Please let me know your location. I have a database for the US, Canada, the UK and other areas so perhaps I can find someone to help. This thing needs removed...that much I know.
