Getting anouther rat

Hi, I have one rat SOphie who I think is lonely. I am trying to convince my mom to let me get a rat. Have any suggestions?

Explain to mom that rats are very social animals and living alone is like having a human living all alone with no other humans to talk to. Also, two rats are not more expensive than one rat. In fact, they are healthier since they are not stressed from being alone.  You will make their food from recipes that I have rather than feed them lousy no good for them seed mixes from pet stores so they will also be very healthy too.   Make sure you get another female close to her age too.
