Rat Vomit?

Question
Hello - I know that it's said that rats can't vomit, but I'm sure that my baby rat Cookie is sick. Lately, I haven't had any specific rat food for them, so I've been giving my two girl rats the best I can provide: Honey Nut Cheerios, raw broccoli, etc. Last night, I acknowledge that I haven't exactly been giving them healthy food choices - yesterday, I gave them a caramel-nut 'nature bar', and some pizza crusts. My little rat, Cookie, has always been a bit sickly - she's constantly sneezing, always timid, and has the red stuff coming from her nose and even her ears in large quantities. But today when I took her out, she was acting a bit strange, and after a while, I noticed red discharge soaked in my sheets. I smelled it and it smelled like... vomit. And it was all in her cage, as well. What should I do? =C  Is Cookie going to die? ;~; She seems pretty alert whenever I seem like I'm going to take her out again, but.... I don't know. What should I do???

Answer
Just like humans cannot turn their head around 360 degrees, rats absolutely physically cannot vomit. What may have occured was the rat was choking on something he was eating or trying to eat.

Whatever the case may be, this sounds abnormal and he should see a vet right away.
