Can a parrot catch a cold from somebody? My macaw coughs just like my wife when had a cough.

to see if your bird has a cold check their eyes to make sure they are clear and their nosie holes make sure they are clear and no fuild is coming out of them.
has the eating habits change,
if there is no signs of the above I would say he is imitateing you.
watch for sign of illness. and if you still think he might be sick call you vet. and go into more details
My large blue and gold macaw love to imitate the different sounds we make. our coughs or laughs.just about everything we say.
