mixing cockatiels and budgies

Hello,

Currently we have 5 budgies of mixed sexed in a large cage and someone has offered me two cockatiels, one male and one female and I was wondering whether it would be ok to put them all in the same cage together?

Hello Gemma and thank you for your question,

I don't reccomend housing mixed types of birds together other then finches/and other soft bills, Budgies in my experiance pick at the cockatiels and tend to injure there feet. i tryed to house my handfed cockatiel with a friendly budgie before but the budgie wouldnt stop picking at her and had to be removed back to its orginal cage.
