Question
I have this pair of ringneck parrots, which my uncle gave to me. One of them is a little bit older than the other but not fully grown. What i want to know is about their diet. what should there in their diet. Plz send me the details of it as soon as possible. I don't know their age, but their eyes are opened, i think it means that they are about some 2 or 3 weeks old. As i said you earlier that one of them is older than the other. The elder one has got its green hair and wing's hair too but not the tail and the other got very little hairs. Plz help me out about this.

Answer
Hello,

What was the breeder feeding these birds? If it's a nutritious baby formula you would want to keep them on the same formula the breeder was feeding. There are several commercial baby parrot formulas available that you can use.

As adults a healthy well balanced diet would include pellets, fresh fruits and vegetables, and some healthy human food choices such as whole grain breads and pastas.

Your avian veterinarian will also be a good resource for you.
