hand rearing 3 day old crimson wing parrots

I'm raising 2 crimson wing parrots for my landlord, he breeds all sorts of exotic birds and my "payment" for raising a few birds 4 him will be a baby Eclectus of my own in the next hatching... he's gone away 4 the week end so I have no one to ask... THEY WONT SHUT UP!!!... they are at right temp. fed but not overfed and have clean tissues underneath them... i dont know if this is just what the breed of bird is like or not, I've raised lovebirds, alexandrian & eclectus from this age with no problems...  thanx in advance, Nikki

Hello Nikki and thank you for your post.
I am not sure if it is because of the breed.  They might not be stimulated enough.  try puttin some soft music on for them and see if this helps.  You can get cds like "Nature's Music", which has gentle waterfalls and soft (almost "Elevator Music").  This might help to stimulate them.  
Other than that, all birds do need to scream and screech.  This is their way of communicating with each other, it also helps them to exercise their lungs.
