Hello
Ihave a red crown parrot.Its has like 35% of its feather black.I saw
photos of red crown parrot and ,they don't have black feather.Do i need
to get my parrot to the sunlight? Is there any fruit or vitamin that
make the pigment? Thank you.

I had answered the question, but you had submitted it twice. Here's what I had written: No, no foods or vitamins give the bird the pigment. Does your amazon have yellow cheek feathers? Is the upper beak fully black or is it horn color? Is the cere black or flesh color? There are actually subspecies to the red-lored amazon, and yours is probably one of the less-common subspecies. A picture of your bird would help a lot in determining the subspecies.
