blue and gold macaws

I have had zoey about 10 years now.  This morning she laid her very first egg.  She has not been around any other birds.  So my question is--what do I do with this egg?  She is still laying on it.  Should I remove it or let her be with it.

Just leave the egg alone.  She will eventually abandon it when she realizes it will not hatch.  In fact, she may lay more eggs, so just leave all she lays and let her abandon them in her own time.  Then you can remove and destroy them (none will be fertile).  If you remove them, she may continue to lay and lay until she has a full clutch and this could affect her health (excessive laying).
