Feeding

Question
I have a 2 year old Too and he likes to take food from my mouth, I guess its a bird thing.  My question is, does this pose health problems for both the parrot and human?

-- EXCELLENT question!  Yes, it has caused countless, serious and sometimes fatal infections TO THE BIRD.  The most heartbreaking stories are of owners who have done this for many years without a problem and then, "all of a sudden" - not just a problem, but often the death of their beloved companion.

--- We have a huge amount of bacteria in our mouth and even fungus at times.  All it takes is just the right amount or the bird's immune system fluctuating at any given point in time and then we're looking at one of those situations we'd do anything, seriously anything, to get a do-over.

It's best to avoid taking chances at all.  Right?
