QuestionMy companion mouse has sadly broken his leg, and i have been told that a diet higher in calcium may help him recover. I pretty much always have soy milk in the house and i was wondering if it was safe to give him some, as i know it is high in calcium.
Thanks!
AnswerDear Mixi,
thank you for your question.
Mice can have soy milk, you can also offer yoghurt. It's a good idea to keep him in a smaller cage for now, so that he doesn't move that much. Some vets will also prescribe a sort of sedative so that the mouse sleeps more., But usually rodents heal broken bones very fast, although he might limp. But that deosn't shouldn't bother him much.
I hope I was of some help to you
