Respiratory infection

Hi

My mouse has a respiratory infection and ear infection. She has been on baytril and it has been at least 10 days and she is still sick. She has perked up some so I do see a definite improvement with her congestion but I do not think the baytril is the right drug for this. Can you advise?

Dear Tobie,

The most important thing is to work with your vet.  She or he has access to other veterinary medications.  There are some less common alternatives to baytril that he or she can prescribe.

If you do not have access to a vet, please write back and I will suggest something.  But the vet is the one to talk to.  

Do keep the mouse warm, away from drafts.
