Mice and Cleaning

Question
I got 2 mice.  After I put them in the 'run around ball'  they have droppings on them.  Should I give them a bath or bowl of water or something to clean them?

Answer
Dear Jeremy,

I would never recommend getting a mouse wet.

Although if left alone they will get clean, if you want to help them along you can take a soft toothbrush to their fur to get the dried bits off.  If the bits are still moist, use a kleenex.

After you have cleaned them up they will still partake in a half hour of vigorous industrious mouse washing by themselves!

Make sure when they are in the ball that they never get stuck or left somewhere where they are done or can't move, which causes them to sit unhappily in their own droppings.  Only leave them in it when they are still running around.
