dehydrated mouse

Question
Tonight we found our little boy cold and listless in his cage. It looks like he was unable to reach his new water bottle and became dehydrated. We were able to get him to drink a couple drops and now I have him wrapped up and in my shirt to try to warm him. Is there anything else I can do or do I just have to wait and see now? Unfortunately none of the vets nearby take mice so I've been searching online. I just feel horrid that we didn't catch it sooner.

Answer
I am sorry your little one is sick. :( How is he doing now? If he is still lethargic I would keep searching around for some vets in your area. To keep him warm you can put an under tank heater under his cage on one side to help him stay warm. If he hasn't gotten better chances are it's something else that is causing him to be weak, such as a virus etc. Let me know how he's doing! I'll keep him in my thoughts.

p.s. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I am having some major computer problems as of late. My laptop got smashed and I'm stuck using a 12 year old computer. Needless to say, it has it's quirks.
