Question
i need major help! im taking the to a a pet shop tomorrow so they can get and actual momma mouse but until then i have two orphaned mice with fur and unopened eyes. one ive had for 2days today &yesterday. its not wanting the formula i don't think because it turns away when he/she licks it up but i think its cold i have it in a small drawer with a light over it. its body feels cold but it should warm up soon but the formula has gotten sticky to it's fur. it cold. the other one me and my mom just found and its way more active wanting to suck on your fingers and squirming all over the box looking for a nipple and warmth. im scared im going to loose them before i get them to the pet shop tomorrow with a momma mouse. we found the mom but it was dead in our barn close to her nest. i need help and fast! PLEASE!!

Answer
Dear Kay,

Poor little things.  Thank you for rescuing them.

Because the babies will be with a mother tomorrow, I wouldn't worry about there being some formula on them-- it's much more important that they stay warm.  The light may not be enough; a hot water bottle or heating pad is better.  They will die if they are not warm enough.  If the mouse won't drink from the eyedropper, try seeing if it will lick the formula off of a small paintbrush.

I wish them the best of health.

squeaks,
