Question
(I am the 11 year old who was scared about a mouse eating her babies, just so you know who I am, and a have an update, and one more question:)

Sky, the pregnant mouse, gave birth today!!!

She has seemed so far to be a good mommy...and her companion Rain is helping with the babies too!

I know their are at least 2 little pinkies, because as I was watching, they wiggled to the door of the hidey house Mommy made her nest in.
(They are SO cute!)

Mowta is doing pretty well in his cage, too.

I am finding out that so far it is less stressful for me than I thought it would be!

Thank you for your reassurance! I will rate you later :)

Also, I was wondering how often newborn mice need to eat, just so I can check on little Sky and make sure she is with them enough.

Answer
Hi Miriam,

That is GREAT!!!  I am so glad to hear they are doing well!  Newborn mice eat every couple of hours, but they may not take long at all to nurse from momma, so you might not notice it happening.  It's best to let her do her own mommy thing for the next several days.

Definitely keep me updated, and congratulations on your new babies!
