Question
My daughter has two hermit crabs one of them came out of it's shell pull the shell over to the other one and climbed on top of the other crab. What was it doing?

Answer
Dear Traci,
thank you for your question.
Hermit crabs are not very good about going around obstacles, they usually just climb over them. So it might have been no more than that. Some rabs just like to sit on top of other crabs, esoecially on bigger crabs. Or it might have been a way of establishing who's the dominant one. But I don't think it's anything to worry about, they rarely fight and almost never seriously unless it's a shell fight, but this only happens if there are too few shells for them.
I hope I was of som help to you
