male pigs?

Hi Andy, wonder if you can help i have two male guinea pigs both around 5 months old. just a couple of months ago i had to separate them and buy another cage as they were fighting. will they eventually grow out of this when they grow out of puberty or will they always be aggressive to one another??

It all depends if they were actualy fighting. Some scuffling, sniffing bottoms, chasing etc is quite normal and a way of them establishing which pig will be dominant. If they actually tore strips off each and drew blood it is very unlikely they will ever get on.

As a last resort you could try bathing both pigs and re-introducing them on a neutral territory. Sometimes they forget about their dislike of each other when they are all soggy. This has worked for me before.
