Question
i have a teddey bear hamster that is abt 2 years old and as of lately she has been burrowing herself under fluff and making it her bedding and she wont exercise in her ball at all she almost has to be forced into it and she has became  even bigger and seems like she has no energy and drags around the cage alot and she has gained considerable weight on her but and she recently started getting ""ATTITUDE" biting at times not always.. can you tell me what could be wrong with her and what we can do about it as well?

Answer
Hey, Curtis.
It doesn't sound like there's really anything wrong with her.  The only thing is she's showing symptoms of aging.  Remember that a teddy bear hamster lives an average of 1.5 - 2 yrs.  Therefore, your hamster's symptoms are normal for her age.

There isn't much you could really do about this situation either.  Just make sure she's eating food and drinking water.. you could try giving her 'soft' treats such as baby food.. and don't wake her up when she's sleeping.. just those things might help her attitude some.  Also, she may not want to excercise that much anymore so only let her go in her ball when she seems like she wants to be in it.  That could help her as well.

Hope that helps and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.  Good luck with your hamster.
